A very sad time. Paul has suffered very poor health for a number of years and kept going due to the great care and support that he received from Josie and Michael, often in very trying circumstances. Although more recently known to many as Michael's chief supporter/card marker/critic he was himself a very competent league bowler. He along with Michael joined Willenhall Trinity in the early 1980's following the end of an extensive career in local football. When Michael won the Willenhall League averages with an eighteen out of eighteen record, Paul finished in the top five and would talk at length about the more difficult opponents that he played against.
Although a lifetime devotee of the Wolves and any England team, bowls became his passion, particularly county matches, which he never missed until his health declined. I think that his greatest moment in bowls was when Michael won the Midland Masters at Dudley Dell.
Sincere condolences to Josie & Michael.
Rest in peace mate, after a life well lived.

My mom and I would like to send thanks to everybody in the bowls community who have supported us during this difficult period. Collections for Parkinson's UK have topped the £400 mark with just a little more money to come in, a fantastic effort.
Although too late for my dad these donations will go to a worthy organisation, who provide support to patients and their families and also fund research into developing new medication to help fight this horrible disease.
Thanks again and see you greenside in the next few weeks.
